Who we are
A Bit About Us
We are a family owned kennels & daycare, we provide a homely and welcoming environment to provide your pet with comfort. We are licensed for 25 dogs and allow a maximum of 4 dogs to share a kennel overnight.
We cater for all breeds and sizes of dogs and will accommodate long or short stays as well as doggie day care. We offer a range of services and packages to tailor your needs from long stay settling accommodation through to doggy day care.
The kennel area is heated in winter and has air conditioning during the heat of the summer months and music is played throughout the building.
We give your pet a safe, warm, caring and fun environment giving you the peace of mind whilst your away.
Accommodation
All boarding dogs are exercised a minimum of 5 times a day – Twice in the morning, early afternoon, tea time and again before being settle for the night. Our aim is to allow them out of their kennels as much as possible and for them to have fun whilst they stay with us. Our exercise area is secure and all dogs are supervised whilst out playing. All dogs are brushed each day.
Your dog will become part of our family during their stay so you can enjoy your holiday knowing that your 4 legged friend will be enjoying theirs too!
All dogs have their own beds to sleep in with clean bedding, changed daily. Our pens for the dogs are indoors however throughout the day they have the run of a large outdoor area (once the gates are closed to the public).
We provide quality food for them during their stay, however, if you prefer you can bring along their regular food to avoid any upset tummies or digestive problems. We provide healthy treats during the day, toys and a stimulating environment for your dog and we urge you to bring along their favourite toy or blanket to keep them company whilst you are away.
Doggy Day Care
Our Doggy Day Care service is an affordable solution for busy dog owners who can be rest assured their pets will have a fun-filled stay whilst exercising and forming friendships with our regulars.
We focus on quality not quantity and to create a space that is not overcrowded we only allow a maximum of 25 dogs at one time; this allows our staff to dedicate more personal interaction time with your dog.
During the day we organise outdoor play in small groups, providing enrichment and personal interaction throughout their stay.
Our doggy day care services ensure that your dog won’t be lonely as we help them to socialise with other dogs whilst here with us
Dog Walking (Optional Add-On)
Westway Kennels now offers an optional dog walking service for dogs staying with us for boarding or day care.
For £10 per walk, your dog can enjoy a full one-hour walk, giving them a welcome break from the kennels and the chance to explore a different environment. It’s ideal for dogs that benefit from extra exercise, stimulation and one-to-one time during their stay.
Available as an add-on during boarding or day care stays.
Transport Services
We also provide a dog transport service for local journeys, including transport to and from vet or grooming appointments, as well as new pet pick-ups. This service is subject to availability and can be arranged alongside boarding or day care.

Other Information
We suggest if it is your dogs first time in kennels you try a short stay with us prior to boarding for a longer period. This means that when your dog comes to stay for longer periods they have already started bonding with us and you have the peace of mind that you are leaving your cherished pet in familiar surroundings.
